Christmas Dress

Once upon a time, a little less than a year ago, Alianna was born. Both grandmothers came to see her. Grandma Mary, being from California was very cold. It was cold outside. It was cold inside. Lucky for Grandma Mary, she had a warm robe to wear in the house, and the heaters worked alright. Every morning Grandma Mary stood by the furnace to warm up. Her nice red robe warmed up and held the heat in. Then one day, the robe danced a little to close to the flame, and the red began to turn black and melt. With a melted hole in her robe, Grandma Mary was not as warm. When she had to go home, she left her robe behind. The robe sat under Alianna's mama's bed for a long time, until, at last, it was rescued. Christmas is almost here and I wanted to make Alianna a Christmas dress. So, I cut up the old robe and made this.

I also made Alianna a stocking since I couldn't find her one to match ours. I had an idea that I can make each of us a stocking with a snowman in the pocket and the snowman can have something to represent each of us. Alianna's snowman has a tartan Scottish scarf since she was born here. Maybe Mark's will have a turkey...
