London Day 3

On Monday Mark and I decided to tour the city.  We got on one of the hop on hop off open top buses.  The sun was bright and hot, but it was a nice view and a very good tour.
We covered Alianna in sunscreen and held the parasol over her just in case.  I wished I had a sun hat and parasol for a little shade too!
Most of London burned down in the great fire, but there were a few old buildings, like this little skinny pub squished in between other bigger buildings.
Part of the tour was on a boat down the Thames.  The view was even better on the river since most things had been built on the river.  Here is Big Ben and the parliament houses.  We also saw the Tower of London, Westminster, and all the other top sights.
Alianna liked the cooler air on the boat.
This is the famous bridge in London--not the London bridge which just looks like an ordinary bridge.  This is called the tower bridge.
This is the British museum.  We got off the bus to see it.  We were hoping it would be cool, and it was a little cooler, but not well air conditioned.  We saw the Rosetta Stone which was in very good shape for being so old.  And we saw a display on ancient Greece and Egypt.  The Egypt exhibit was really cool.
We saw quite a few mummies.  This one is Cleopatra-named after the famous Cleopatra.

Alianna seemed to like it!
