Our playgroup had a trip scheduled for a berry farm nearby, but it was cancelled last minute. I still wanted to go, so I called the farm and they said we could come as a family. So, late one afternoon, we went. The owner gave us a tour of the packing house where they package blueberries in a variety of different sized containers to ship around the world.
They don't let people come pick berries, but for tours they do, so we were allowed to pick as many as we wanted. They grow 15 varieties of blueberries. When you buy berries in the store you may get any variety depending on which is ripe at the time. Some were sweeter than others. We picked some of every kind and ended up with close to 4 pounds. We ate them all in less than a week and wanted more.
Eli often confused his mouth with the basket.
