May

So, I was pretty bad about blogging in May, which means a lot of things happened... We have been busy. Eli is now 5 mo. and rolls all over the place. We have to make sure Alianna's toys are not too close, or better yet are cleaned up, because Eli likes to roll over and chew on them all which does not make Alianna happy. Baby doll has learned to roll too, and she now has a name--Boots, like Dora's monkey Boots, because Alianna often claims she is Dora and so of course baby is Boots.

We went to a Luau with all our neighbors. The Fresno polynesian club put on a great show! (Mark came later.)
Our little garden. We have tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, summer squash, sugar snap peas, green and yellow beans, yellow squash, cucumbers and onions, oh and some swiss chard. We don't get a whole lot of sun and it's been really windy, so we'll see how they do. Alianna has enjoyed a few cherry tomatoes and strawberries so far.

Eli plays with Alianna now sometimes. Alianna doesn't like him to touch her "pretend" as she calls all her dishes, but when he reaches for it, she brings him another toy which usually makes him happy.
Fun at the park. The weather hasn't been too hot yet, so we have been able to play outside a lot!

We can slide at home too!

The bears still like to play with Alianna too.
Eli helps with the laundry. Alianna likes to climb in with him too, which is really heavy, so I push them along, gently take Eli out, and dump all the clothes on Alianna. She loves it! Then we get to the serious business of folding and putting away. Alianna likes to fold and is really good at knowing where all the clothes, towels and washcloths go, even if they don't make it there quite as wrinkle free as if I had done it myself.
Sometime near the beginning of the month we went to a pirate festival. It was pretty fun. One guy built this pirate ship on top of some old canoes, so it really is seaworthy, or at least small body of water worthy.
There was a pirate who did a parrot show too.
Alianna took swimming classes April and May. I thought by the time she finished it would be really hot, but the weather cooled way down and we have only been in the pool a couple of times since the lessons in the heated pool. Our pool is cold! Too bad, because Alianna loves to swim.
