Here's what happened. I was on the phone trying to get a replacement part for a shade tent I ordered that came with a broken part. I had called twice and finally was talking with a manager and getting help. I was using Skype because my phone was out of minutes, so I couldn't run to help Alianna when she ran to the potty. But that was ok because she has been waving me away lately anyway wanting to do it herself. She does a good job too pulling off her pants, climbing on the toilet, wiping, and washing her hands. So, when I heard the water running I wasn't worried. That is until I didn't hear the water turn off. When I was put on hold again, I ran to peek. This is what I saw...
Do you see the bubbles on the counter, on Alianna's shirt, dripping off the counter onto her stepstool and the floor? Alianna had taken the soap pump and pumped almost all of the soap onto the counter. Then she was spreading it all around and around with her hands "cleaning". She was very focused and thorough There was nothing I could do. The mess was there. So, being the responsible parent that I am, I let her keep playing and went back to the phone call. There were so many bubbles on Alianna I had to throw her in the bath. I then proceeded to try and clean up all the soap. Have you ever tried to wipe up soap. It just keeps making more and more bubbles. I was reminded of a curious George book we have where George dumps an entire box of soap powder on the floor, then sprays it with a hose, filling the apartment with bubbles, more and more bubbles. It was funny. And now my counters, sinks, toilet and floor are all sparkly clean (I had to use up all the bubbles on my rags!).
