For New Year's we drove up to the mountains to see the snow and celebrate with Alianna's cousins. We had a fun relaxing trip.
Alianna first sees the snow. Woooooow, wooooow, woooooow, she kept saying.

Before going outside Alianna just pointed and pointed. When we bundled up and she felt how cold the snow really is, she wasn't as sure if it was really all that fun.

Alianna wanted to help daddy shovel the porch. The snow had fallen off the roof blocking the front door.

There was actually quite a lot of snow on the ground, but it had melted and frozen many times, so we could walk on top of it. I always thought that kind of snow is really fun. We brought up sand toys which Alianna enjoyed using in the snow.

Alianna and I went on a walk while daddy shoveled and we waited for the cousins. We saw the frozen pond.

To celebrate New Year's eve we had a silly string party. It was a little early, but then the kids could go to bed, and they didn't know any different.

The kids had a great time (and so did the dad's) spraying everyone.

In the morning we made some eggs and pancakes. The kids had fun breaking open the eggs.

We thought it would be really fun to sled while the cousins went to a birthday party.

Alianna went down a few times with daddy and once with me. Then, she wasn't so sure about sledding. (We had gotten a little snow in the face.)

But she had a great time helping make a snowman. She wanted him to have a big hat, so she kept piling snow on top.

We went sledding again when everyone came back. Alianna rode to the hill in the sled, then watched her cousins. She didn't mind when they fell out.
