This one is a little out of order, but worth including--Our first anniversary. We went up to Mark's family cabin in the mountains near Yosemite. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

Shalea also made it out to Massachusetts to see her father and grandparents and go to the largest Portuguese feast in the US. Roasted meats and malasadas--yumm!

Shalea's friends Mindy and Jim came out to California to see San Francisco and Shalea got to go up to see them too. Her is Shalea and Mindy by the Golden Gate Bridge.

And we made it out to Pismo Beach to see Mark's grandmother. It was a little chilly, but beautiful.

So, overall, we had a very fun summer. Although we will miss our families, we are excited to begin our adventures in Scotland. We leave in just a week on Sept. 1st!
