Hot Air Balloons and Bikes

First, we finally got bikes for the kids. We had the dilemma of where to store them.  Our back balcony is a little crowded with both bikes, and if it rains they will have to move to the garage, but it's not too bad. Alianna loves to ride. She has ridden her bike to the park, as has Eli, to the grocery store, and the library.  Eli is still working on figuring out the pedaling. He is a little wary since his first ride sent him into a bush.

We went for the third year to the Clovis Balloon festival. We have to wake everyone up early, but we all enjoy watching the balloons launch.  We got a great spot this year right up next to a balloon.

Lily pulls herself up on everything now.  She is starting to get really good balance and let go of things and stand on her own.  She loves it and cheers herself on, or maybe she's calling out to us--hey, look at me! It's pretty cool. She also loves holding onto my hands and walking all around the apartment. We had to pull out Alianna's old baby shoes for her so she can go on walks outside too.  With the weather cooling down slightly, we are able to be outside a lot more.
Lily is also figuring out how to climb. She climbed in here all by herself.

Lily is so smart and such a character! She and baby Lucy (my daughter) would be fast friends - they are both in the sane stage of mobility and smile a lot, too! Sending big hugs from the east!
