Getting Ready for Christmas

We usually pick out our tree the day after Thanksgiving, but we waiting a little later this year.  We found a beautiful, but very large tree.  It his our ceiling even after being trimmed.

At the Christmas tree lot we found two cute little elves.

 
Alianna and Eli decorated the bottom half of the tree.  Mark and I put everything fragile up high.

 We decorated a gingerbread house (from a kit)

 Here is our finished tree.  We need more lights if we keep getting such big trees!

 We went with our mom's group on a walk of a very decorated neighborhood.  It was a warm evening and lots of fun.

We made chocolates and cookies for Mark's work mates and the neighbors.

 Eli enjoyed licking out the measuring cup with peanut butter.

 We went on a horse drawn carriage around downtown Clovis.

 And saw Santa.

 Then we made more cookies for a cookie exchange party I hosted.  It was a great success with a good variety of cookies, appetizers, and fun people to chat with.
