Alianna and Eli's bithdays!
The kids both had their birthdays in January. For Eli's birthday we made big towers to knock down, rode the merry go round at the grocery store, had lots of fun playing at home, opened presents and had pancake birthday cake (we video-ed it, but missed a photo).
Alianna was more excited for her birthday than Christmas. She couldn't fall asleep and was bouncing off the walls the night before. I told her she had to go to sleep so the balloons and presents would come. Then first thing in the morning--really early--she woke me up telling me it was her birthday time to get up. So we went out to the living room to see all the balloons and to find the hidden presents. Then we played all day and made cupcakes.
Alianna and I worked hard to get ready for the joint birthday party. It was a jungle theme, so we colored a lot of animals to hide around the park for the animal hunt, drew and colored animals on the gift bags, and made the beginnings of masks for the kids to decorate. It turned out to be a cool windy day, but everyone had a lot of fun, even if the wind blew out the candles before the kids got a chance to.
