Christmas is coming

It's Christmas time again. We have our tree up and decorated. Alianna has been making ornaments and other Christmas crafts. We rode a horse drawn carriage reminiscent of "Jingle Bells" to see the decorations downtown, and we have even seen Santa. Unfortunately both Alianna and Eli screamed at Santa and cried and would not take a nice photo for me. But they have their Christmas lists ready. Every time Alianna sees little people anything she says Yeah! wee wee peepo. So little people definitely top her list along with Arthur and Berenstain Bear books. We were tempted to buy her the little people nativity, especially after she taught us family home evening on Mon. about why there is a star on the Christmas tree. She wanted to cut out a star (she loves to cut!), so I cut out a whole nativity (free hand no drawing first, so it looks a little abstract). She loved it and told us the story a few times. Then she took the paper stable and all to bed with her. She woke up twice during the night and when she came to find me she had the paper nativity. I was really worried it would get ripped, but somehow it survived the night. Eli loves cars and ramps he can put cars down. He also likes balls and little people. So we were tempted to get a little people wheelies stand and play ramp, have you seen it? It is really cool--lots of ramps and cars. He also loves the little people tractor his cousins have. Maybe. I love all the toys and playing with them, but our apartment is only so big!
Eli's first Christmas tree!
Alianna gives it hugs.
