I found Alianna's frog costume this summer at a yardsale. Now, usually I like to make costumes, but it was cheap. Alianna loved it from the beginning and wore it around the house and slept with it next to her off and on. Then, we told her she was going to be the frog for our trunk or treat Halloween party. She was excited all day. She loved going around with her pumpkin and after I said trick or treat, people gave her something in her pumpkin. She doesn't eat sugar and I didn't want her to try the candy in case she had another round of vomiting from some allergen, but she loves playing with the candy--sorting it by shape, sound, color, moving it between pumpkins... I did make her some gluten free cookies for Halloween.
This is the frog face. I don't know why, but that's the face she made when we asked her if she was a frog before saying yeah!

Halloween day we dressed up to hand out candy, but Alianna wanted to trick or treat too. She remembered how much fun the trunk or treat was. Here she is at grandma Mimi's (our) door. She did pass out lollypops too. Every time someone knocked she ran to the door, but by the end more lollypops ended up in her pumpkin than in other kids.

For the last few days since Halloween, Alianna has been wearing her frog costume to bed and around the house in the morning. She loves to play trick or treat. I have to sit on the chair with the three plastic pumpkins and she takes candy from one and puts it in another. We count how many little boxes make noise (nerd are one), sort by color and type... There isn't too much candy, but she loves her new "toys". Poor Mark wants to eat some, but Alianna does not like if he even touches it.

Breakfast this morning...still the frog.

If I had a frog costume that cute, I would stay in it all day, too! The frog costume for breakfast is priceless! You are such a handsome family. I LOVE the king and queen costume- did you make them?
Love,
Margaret
I had a fun time looking at your blog and seeing your beautiful family. I can finally eat gluten, and so can my twin sister. We did something called NAET. It's an allergy elimination technique developed by a woman from India. I believe she lives in California.
