Alianna and I went on another summer adventure! Unfortunately Mark had to work again. We missed him a lot, but we had fun with my dad and more family.
Another sad goodbye... Plane rides are very long with a baby on the lap who doesn't want to nap and wants to play and climb out over whoever is in the way. I taught her to wait to move until the bump when we land and she remembered 2 weeks later on the way home. (We took 3 airplanes each way.)

My dad took time off to be with us. It was his first time with Alianna and he had fun! He got a great workout everyday playing with Alianna. She loved being pulled in a box.

and playing guitar. She still recognizes guitars in pictures and remembers.

We went to an outdoor classical music concert on Lake Champlain. It was beautiful and the music was great. I think it was the coolest night we were there, but we kept warm by walking and walking around (Alianna did not want to sit still.) Her favorite part was finding ice people had dumped out of their coolers as they left. She kept picking it up, then getting cold and dropping it, then walking back for more.

My brother David came home from a mission to Germany a little while after we arrived. He was slightly delayed, but you'll have to ask him about that one...

There was a park near my dad's place and we walked there a few times. Alianna loved walking across the wobbly bridge and by the end she was doing it all by herself.

Also very nearby were lots and lots of wild black raspberries. Alianna loved them!!! She wanted to go pick them all the time. She would point to the door and say bla (meaning black raspberries of course). And she would eat them faster than we could pick them most of the time. We all had scratches on our arms and legs (Alianna included) from reaching deeper and deeper into the bushes to get all the raspberries we could.

We went down to see my grandparents too in Massachusetts. It was their first time seeing her too. We also saw my aunts, uncles, and 2 cousins while we were down there. She did surprisingly well with all the new people the whole trip.

My dad, brother, Alianna and I went to the zoo by my grandparents house. The had a carousel which Alianna loved. She held on tight and when it was finished she kept saying more more. (More is her new favorite word, and we are glad she learned it. Now she doesn't yell to get things. She asks nicely--more. It's kind of like her please, and it also means she wants more.)

One of Alianna's favorite animals was the beaver. I think she liked them because she could see them swimming around their pool (and she loves to swim), and then they would climb out and walk around, eat a snack, swim some more...

Alianna loves horses, so of course she had to have a pony ride. When I saw the sign I was thinking little ponies, but this one was big! Alianna looked so tiny up there, and parents weren't allowed in the ring. Luckily the girl walking with Alianna watched her closely and Alianna held on really tight. I was kind of glad when it was over, but Alianna wanted more more more.

We went to a barbeque to celebrate birthdays at my aunt's house. We swam in the pool and Alianna ran around. Then it got cool. Luckily Auntie Candice had a sweatshirt Alianna could borrow. Isn't she so cute!

Coloring with my cousin and aunt.

We dropped Candice off at the Boston temple for a wedding. I had to get a photo (that's where Mark and I were married).

Back in VT picking raspberries

Mostly Alianna sat on the sidewalk while I went into the pricker bushes. I'd come out with handfuls only to find the tub I had just filled all eaten up.

We met up with my friend Mindy and her 3 cute boys and husband for a picnic.

Back in CA, Alianna got a new crib. This is how she fell asleep the first night.
